We’ve worked hard to simplify the delivery of products and minimize the cost of shipping for you. If you have any questions about the options above, reach out to care@thepostbox.in

Our Standard shipping duration is 1-2 working days. However if in the event, the demand for the product is not as projected, there could be a shipping duration of upto 7 working days. 

Please note that working days here refer to Monday - Friday. It does not include the weekend and public holidays as per the Indian Calendar. 

Worldwide Shipping

If you want a delivery to be made outside India, please write to us at care@thepostbox.in with the below details. 

  • Name of the Product
  • Screenshot of the Product
  • Full address of the consignee living outside India. 

We will get back to you with a cost estimate of shipping in 48 hours. 

The moment you confirm your order with us, we will send you a Paypal link to process the payment. 

Your package will be shipped within 24 hours from the date of payment processed. 

Return

We follow a strict three step quality control process between our Manufacturing Facility and our Logistics Team.

However, there are chances of an occasional slip up from our end. If your product is damaged or if we have sent you an incorrect order by mistake, please write to us at care@thepostbox.in within 2 working days or call us at + 91-9884502289

  • We will send across a fresh piece immediately.
  • A return pickup will be initiated to pick up the damaged product in 7 working days. 

What is the criteria for a product to be called damaged? 

  • Bags & Leather Goods - Hardware not working (Zippers, pullers etc)
  • Bags & Leather Goods - Material Damage - Leather has been ripped apart on the product. Liquid Stain Marks, Holes, Tears in our Fabrics and Inner lining Materials. 
  • Home Ware - Chips in the Mug

What will not be accepted as a damage product? 

  • Dimensions of the product. 
  • Issue with the colour of the materials used in the product.
  • Issue with the colour of the Hardware used in the product.
  • Issue with feel of the Leather used in the product.

If your product is not damaged and it doesn't meet your expectation you can do any of the following, 

In the event you would want to exchange the product for another product, 

  • Send across an email to us within 24 hours of receiving the product. 
  • A return pick up will be initiated to pick up the product delivered to you. 
  • The moment we receive the product at our warehouse (Takes about 2-3 working days), we will send across the product of your choice. 
  • If there is a cost difference between the two products, either a refund will be processed immediately or we will bill it to you as a Cash on delivery. 

In the event you would want a refund for the product, 

  • Please send it across to our warehouse address.
  • Your refund will be initiated within 7 working days (Exclusive of shipping costs).

    Exchanges

    If you change your mind, or want to swap a gift for something else, exchange requests can be submitted to care@thepostbox.in within 24 hours of your purchase.

    If you made an error when purchasing online, and it’s still within 24 hours of placing your order, contact our support team at care@thepostbox.in right away and we should be able to adjust your order before it leaves our hands.

    You can find your tracking number in two ways:

    • Check the shipping confirmation email we sent you. This should arrive in your inbox within 7 days of your purchase unless specified otherwise on the product page. 

    If that doesn’t work:

    • Email us at care@thepostbox.in and your order number/customer reference number. We’ll help you with the rest. You can find the order number on the subject of your Order confirmation & Shipping confirmation email. 

    What if my order doesn’t arrive?

    If your order doesn’t arrive within the maximum estimated timeframe please write to us care@thepostbox.in. We will either send you a fresh piece or contact our Logistics partners to help you with the exact location of your package. 

    How do I cancel my order?

    Contact care@thepostbox.in within 24–48hrs of placing your order. That way we should be able to catch any transaction settlement and shipping before it goes through. Anything after this window will be treated as a regular refund. 

    Can I add items to my order after I have hit the place order/confirmation button?

    If you want to add an item to your order please email us at care@thepostbox.in within 24hrs of your purchase or call us at +91- 9884502289 and we’ll do what we can to adjust things.

    Can I edit my delivery address after I place order/confirmation button?

    If you want to edit your delivery address please email us at care@thepostbox.in or call us at +91- 9884502289 within 24hrs of your purchase and we’ll do what we can to adjust things.

    What are my payment options?

    We have three paymentt options for you? 

    You can Pay online through

    Or

    we also accept Cash on Delivery 

    We accept Mastercard, Visa, Amex Cards & Paypal. We also accept cash on delivery as a payment method. 

    What currency can I pay in?

    For now all our transactions on the website are through INR. All transactions are processed in the currency shown on the product and checkout pages. Most countries have tax included in the price, if not, the tax will be shown on the checkout page before purchase.

    Warranty

    Our products are covered by a 1 year warranty from the day they were bought, when used under normal conditions and for the purpose intended.

    Please, try not to over stuff your Postbox product or put it in conditions which are to suitable for the product.

    Please do not put sharp objects in your bag for it can tear the material. (This does not come under warranty)

    If you do put more cards in there than recommended, things can stretch out of shape and put undue stress on the stitching and other materials.

    This warranty covers faults in Hardware materials used on the product. 

    The Warranty does not apply

    • If damage is caused by unreasonable use or neglect, normal wear and tear, or if you change your mind.
    • Breakage of your Homeware articles upon use, or colour fading. 

    In order to make a warranty claim, you need to have purchased your Postbox Product through our website. 

    The Postbox product warranty sits alongside applicable consumer protection law.

    How do I make a warranty claim?

    Please email us at care@thepostbox.in with your order details and a description of the fault or damage. Including photographs of any fault helps a lot in speeding up claims.

    Design & Manufacturing

    Where are The Postbox products designed?

    The design process mostly happens at our studio in Chennai where we have a team of designers working closely with folks our User experience team. We also have a fully equipped design lab that lets us prototype new styles using leading technologies including laser cutting and other fun design tools. 

    Where are The Postbox products made?

    Our products are made at State of the art facilities in the southern state of Tamil Nadu, India. All our facilities go through an audit process which allow us to communicate in a transparent manner how we source each material from start to finish.

    Equipped with master craftsman some of whom have been in the industry for more than 25 years, we are really committed to making sure we work closely with some of the brightest minds in the industry.

    How will my purchase be packaged?

    Each product comes with custom packaging. Our Wallets and Bags go in boxes while some of our Leather goods go in custom packaging wrappers. 

    Our homeware is packaged in 5 ply boxes with straw.  

    Product Specifics

    Can you let me know the kind of Canvas you use?

    The canvas we use for our products are Drum dyed weighing between 10ounces and 15ounces. Before we use the canvas, it goes through a round of stringent inspection and treatment to make sure they meet all International norms. 

    Are The Postbox wallets the slimmest?

    Its would be wrong for us to call The Postbox wallets the slimmest available. What we offer is a wallet that is as slim as we can get it without compromising on  our materials, and comfort in everyday use.

    What kind of Ikat Fabric do you use for our bags?

    We use single Ikats and Double Ikats. All our Ikat Fabric is from Handlooms across India. We work very closely with over 100 artisans to get the desired outcome. 

    Are Postbox products meant to organise your travel essentials in the best way possible?

    We aspire to. A lot of research and development goes in to each product we make. A lot of time is spent at the studio to make sure each product fits our definition of organising your travel essentials.

    Our Leathers

    Leather is a long lasting durable material which when taken care off, ages very well. Our leathers are soft durable, and has a timeless appeal. It ages gracefully and forms a unique character depending on how you use it. This makes it ideal for wallets, bags and other small carry goods. Genuine Leather as a material causes less environmental impact than most faux/vegan leathers. Most faux or vegan leathers perform poorly over time since it is just plastic material composed together. We’re yet to find another material that offers the same balance of qualities in terms of long term durability.

    Our Complementary Materials

    We work with various other materials from Canvas to Terracotta. What we can assure you is that each material goes through stringent quality norms to make sure we only give you a quality product. Like for example, the glaze we use on the inside of our Terracotta cups is Lead free while our Canvas Materials follow stringent international norms when it comes to dyeing of the fabric. 

    All zippers we use are premium YKK zips sourced directly from their factory and not through agents. 

    As our product range grows, so does the range of materials we use to produce them. We aim to update this section over time as things develop.

    The Postbox delivers products across the world. Shipping rates are outlined on our Shipping page, and will be quoted with any order.

    The Postbox is committed to providing a customer service and quality products like none other.. Standard dispatch timeframes are between 1–3 business days. If you have any questions or concerns about a product, your order, or life in general, email us at care@thepostbox.in.

    4. Return Policy

    Our products all have a 1 year warranty, so if anything isn't as it should be get in touch and we'll sort out an exchange or refund straight away.

    If you've made an error in purchasing, don't hesitate to ask our team for advice. The earlier we catch things, the more chance we have of reducing unnecessary shipping, which is kinder to the environment.

      All interactions with our Services use the Transport Layer Security/Secure Sockets Layer (TLS/SSL) protocol. We use a third-party Payment Gateway to securely process credit card transactions.

      All data is encrypted via SSL/TLS when transmitted from our servers to your browser. The database backups are also encrypted. Except for your password, data isn’t encrypted while it’s live in our database (since it needs to be ready to send to you when you need it).

      All data that we store in our log files or send to third party softwares that we use to analyze errors with the Software is anonymized and no personal identifiable information is sent to them.
