Return & Refund Policy

Return Policy 
1. Terracotta, Blue Pottery & Ceramic Ware

All products at The Postbox are made with utmost care and precision. One of our main goals is to bring to you quality through affordability. That being said all products can be returned back to The Postbox in exchange for any one of the following reasons. 

a.Store credit
b.Complete refund
c.Fresh piece

A complete refund or a replacement piece along with bearing the courier/reverse pick up charges will be taken into consideration only if it is any of the following cases. 

  • If the product you have received is chipped, cracked or broken along the rims, bottom or inner surface.  
  • If the product, within 90 days develops cracks on the outside or the inside of the cup. (We do expect these cups to last for years but due to prior experiences we've made the cut off date 90 days)
  • If the products are damaged in transit and comes to you broken. 

Store credit will be given and courier/reverse pick up charges will NOT be taken care of by The Postbox if it is any of the following case:

  • If there are issues with the size of the product. 
  • If there are issues with the colour of the product.
  • If you don't want the product  anymore and have changed your mind. 
  • If the person you had to gift the product to is not in town. 
  • If the person you were gifting the product to does not like it.

2. Laptop Bags & Shopper Bags

All products at The Postbox are made with utmost care and precision. Our Laptop bags and Shopper Bags are made at units we have control over and therefore ensure strict quality checks in place. That being said all products can be returned back to The Postbox in exchange of either store credit or a complete refund. 

A complete refund or a replacement piece along with bearing the courier/reverse pick up charges will be taken into consideration only if it is any of the following cases. 

  • If you receive a Laptop Bag or Women's Shopper Bag is damaged or if the size of the model is not as communicated to you on the product page. 
  • If all the contents of the bag (Straps etc) as promised to you are not present with the bag upon delivery. 
  • If within 180 days the buckle or leather straps break due to loose stitching. This warranty is only if the strap or the buckle wears off due to a manufacturing defect and not because of overloading the bag. 
  • If the zips and zippers give away within 180 days. 
  • If the pockets or inside lining is torn upon delivery. 
  • If we have delivered the wrong Laptop Bag to you. 

Store credit will be given and courier/reverse pick up charges will NOT be taken care of by The Postbox if it is any of the following case:

  • If there are issues with the size of the Laptop/Shopper Bag.
  • If there are issues with the colour of the Laptop/Shopper Bag. 
  • If there are issues with the colour of the hardware which is used for the Laptop/Shopper Bag
  • If you don't want the Laptop/Shopper Bag anymore and have changed your mind. 
  • If the person you had to gift the Laptop/Shopper bag to is not in town. 
  • If the person you were gifting the Laptop/Shopper bag to does not like it.

3. Home Decor (Cushion covers, Table mats, Wall frames & Floor & Table Lamps)

All products at The Postbox are made with utmost care and precision. 

  • We've used superior standards of printing for our Table Mats and Cushion covers. 
  • Our wall frames are made using Matte Canvas rolls we source specifically from Calcutta. 
  • The Floor & Table Lamps are made primarily by women, who hand weave these lamps using thread. 
  • The wood being used for these lamps are from Auroville, Pondicherry. This comes directly from their rejuvenating forests where trees are cut down every year and replanted back. 

A complete refund or a replacement piece along with bearing the courier/reverse pick up charges will happen only if it is any of the following cases. 

  • If you receive a Cushion cover, Table mat which looks faded
  • If you receive a Cushion cover, Table mat where the zippers are not working
  • If you receive a Cushion cover, Table mat where the size is not as mentioned on the website
  • If you receive a Table/Floor Lamps which is not the correct size has mentioned on the product page. 
  • If the bulb holder is not working within 180 days of using the Lamp.

Store credit will be given and courier/reverse pick up charges will NOT be taken care of by The Postbox if it is any of the following case:

  • If you have ordered for the wrong size of Table mat/Cushion cover. 
  • If you were expecting different colours of the Table mat/Cushion cover. 
  • If you were expecting a Bigger/Smaller Lamp.
  • If the person you had to gift this purchase to is not in town. 
  • If the person you had to gift this purchase does not like it.

4. Accessories (Notebooks, Stoles & Mobile cases)

All products at The Postbox are made with utmost care and precision. 

  • The paper we use for our notebooks is 100GSM, natural shade, sketch able paper.
  • The material we use for our viscose satin stoles comes from Mumbai and is then treated three times in Erode to prevent colour fading.
  • The Mobile cases are made with Hard Plastic and Hard Wood. 

A complete refund or a replacement piece along with bearing the courier/reverse pick up charges will happen only if it is any of the following cases. 

  • If you receive a notebook whose pages are torn or not aligned. 
  • If you receive a notebook where the bind or the pages are coming out. 
  • If you receive a stole which is torn or the stitches are coming out within 180 days. 
  • If you receive a mobile case which is completely different from the colour on the website. (If the mobile case is red in colour instead of white in colour) 
  • If you've received a mobile case/Stole or notebook which is of the wrong product than the one you ordered for. 

Store credit will be given and courier/reverse pick up charges will NOT be taken care of by The Postbox if it is any of the following case:

  • If you have ordered for a mobile cover which is of the wrong model. 
  • If you were expecting different colours on the stole. 
  • If you were expecting a Bigger/Smaller notebook or stole. 
  • If the person you had to gift this purchase to is not in town. 
  • If the person you had to gift this purchase does not like it.

5. Collaborations

Our collaborations consists of both product designers and graphic artists. 

As for Product designers, please read below. 

  • With respect to product designers we only facilitate the sale of their products through our website. 
  • The Postbox doesn't manufacture any of the products under the product design labels. 
  • A quality assurance check is done from their end before the products are handed over to us to be packaged. 
  • All returns under collaborations will be taken on a case by case basis. 

As for Graphic Artists, please read below.

  • Graphic artists are given the opportunity to showcase their work on different mediums such as notebooks, coasters and wall art for now. 
  • For each of these mediums if  the print is not clear and is blurred, the case will be taken up and an appropriate reply in the form of a refund, store credit or new piece will be allotted.

Refund Policy

Cancellation of an order and a full refund of the same will be given to you only if you decide to cancel your order within 24hours. After 24 hours you are given store credit which can be availed within 180 days. 

If the refund is for product damage then please read below. 

1. Payment processed through Cash on Delivery

For orders processed through cash on delivery we take upto 10 working days from the date of final confirmation of your refund through email. 

2. Payment processed through net-banking/credit card/debit card

For orders processed through net-banking/credit card/debit card we take up-to 72 hours from the date of final confirmation of your refund through email.
